​​New Student Orientation

The DSA Jazz Band and Middle School steel drum ensemble will be performing on May 18 in the Frank R Howe's Theater. This performance is the New Student Orientation. This is the first time for next year's students to feel like they are a part of the DSA family. We will welcoming them with a few of the musical opportunities that they will have here at DSA.

Students will report to Mr. Guira's room promptly at 5:10 p.m. to go over their performance details. The performance will begin at 5:30 p.m. and conclude at 6:10 p.m. At 6:10 p.m.  students need to be picked up at the front of the Frank R Howe's Theater. 

Parents are welcome and encouraged to stay for the performance.

  • Black DSA Shirt
  • Khaki Pants
  • Belt

5:10 p.m. - Meet in Mr. Guira's room to go over performance

5:30 p.m. - Perform

6:10 p.m. - Students promptly picked up in front of the Frank R, Howes Theatre

What to Bring

Students
  • Instrument (ready to play)
    • extra reeds, valve oil, slide lubricant, drum sticks, etc.
  • ALL JAZZ BAND and or Steel Drum MUSIC
    • White three-ring binder
  • All music in non glare plastic sheet protectors
  • Clothespins to hold music (6 should be enough)
