Extra Credit

This page provides details for possible Extra Credit Opportunities that Students Can Earn.
Extra Credit Points will be applied when the student requests and provides documentation to the Director.

​Extra Credit is defined as follows:
 
1.       Written Critique of audiofile as assigned by the Director* …..………………………………………………………… varies
     *This activity is intended to provide opportunity to make up points due to an approved rehearsal absence.

2.       Attending a summer music camp (1st grading period only) .......................................................................................... 25+
  • Most major colleges offer summer music camps where students can refine their craft and improve their musicianship. If you are interested in a music camp, please see Mr. Guira for a list of possibilities.
4.       Attendance at Performance for community ensembles (ISO, Hollingsworth Winds,  etc)………………….. varies
a         Must include a program signed by the director/conductor and/or several of the performing musicians.
5.       Attendance at a Performance for professional musical concert ………………………………………….varies
a         Must be approved in advance
b         Must include a program signed by the director/conductor and/or several of the performing musicians.

    (Take Home Test - If this is given to  you as an assignment, it must be completed during non school hours.
    You cannot  possibly focus on "listening" to a recording objectively while "listening" to your teacher in Math!!!)
