Ridge Community High School and Haines City High School are joining for a special 8th grade band night on Friday, October 28th! The event will coincide the Ridge vs. Haines City football game. This is a great time for our students to experience some of the exciting opportunities that both high schools offer for our band students. Students will be able to perform with their future high school in the stands to help cheer on the teams. The music is fun and exciting. Students are sure to enjoy this event!

Students should wear their black DSA shirt and jeans. It is recommended that students also bring their DSA jacket as the evenings in the stadium can be cool.  Students should have their instrument, music flip folder, music, and lyre.  Snacks and water will be provided. If students are interested in eating anything else they will need to bring cash.

The address for Ridge Community High School is 500 Orchid Dr, Davenport, FL 33837. When you turn into the main parking lot the stadium is on your left. The band room is the first building on your right.

​Enter the parking lot next to the football stadium. Let the attendant know that you are performing with the band. If you do, they should let you in without paying for parking. Parents and student performers that enter with the band will be admitted for free as well.

What to Bring:

Sweatshirt - it tends to get cooler in the stands as the evening gets darker.
Money – There is a concession stand inside for when you get hungry. Students will probably not have an opportunity to eat until the 3rd quarter when dismissed. Students should eat dinner before arriving. A light snack and water will be provided.
Stadium Cushion (for parents)- The stadium seats get hard after a few hours. Some people like to bring a cushion to make it more comfortable.
Instrument - in great performance condition
​Music Lyre and Flip Folder - to hold and read your music - Music will be provided when you arrive. Some music can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

Schedule:
6:00 p.m. - All Students meet in the Ridge Band Room. Students will be organized into sections and provided with music needs

​6:40 p.m. - March to the field and sit in the stands

​6:55 p.m. - Ridge Band performs their pregame show

​7:00 p.m. - Football game begins - middle school students perform with their respective future high school for the first 2 quarters of the game.

​Both Bands will perform their halftime show

​3rd Quarter - students will break to have a snack and water.

​4th Quarter - both Haines City and Ridge will perform together in the end zone.

​10:00 p.m. - estimated end of the game. Students depart for home with their parents.
* All Students must have a parent guardian present for the evening.
